Many people ask: why anyone would want more teenagers in their home? Especially when they raised a few of their own and have the battle scars to prove it.
ASSE USA International Is pleased to report that their international exchange students of high school age are different. They are selected to join the pool of students due to their level of maturity and sense of adventure. They usually come from small towns in Europe, often from Western Europe, countries such as Denmark, Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Finland and other places where English is taught in schools. These students are eager to get out and see America. They are screened and tested and selected for their ability to live with a family in America. First off, they are top students, and top performers in their class. Their English skills are usually at the native level as well. The families that they come to live with have also been screened as well. These kids will never grow up to be cable installation contractors.
After 10 months, the ASSE USA students often are very sad to leave their American friends and families. In the end, they are very thankful for your generosity, their natural families are very grateful as well. Host families are often invited to visit and meet the students families in Europe as well, after an exchange is complete. What they will find, is that student's families will roll out the red carpet for these very generous and kind American hosts.
